OUR CAMPAIGN
COVID-19 Pandemic Response
CRANE requested emergency funding from MAD towards several initiatives
Quarantining Street Children
This project involved sheltering, clothing, feeding and generally supporting children and teens at a centre, for a 2 week period, where they were also taught new skills to prevent them from returning to the streets.
The children also enjoyed playing lots of games and having fun – something many had not experienced much if at all in their young lives.
At the end of the 2 week quarantine, many children were returned to their family homes safely or to safe houses. Older children were offered training centres to further their education and practical skills increasing their life chances.
Emergency Food parcels
Over 50 families were in desperate plight and for 30 rural Pastors’ families who were struggling as a result of the Pastor not being able to be paid by their congregation.
We are proud to have partnered with the CRANE network to deliver the help needed in order to make a difference.
Business Empowerment
This initiative helps families of single mothers. These women are given financial support and advice to set up their own businesses to enable them to look after their children and become self-sufficient throughout the pandemic and beyond.
